This is an original 1902 black and white print ad for the Osteopathic Sanitarium under direction of Dr. C. H. Woodruff in Flagstaff, Arizona.

The origins of Flagstaff, in Coconino County, date back to 1855 when Lieutenant Edward Fitzgerald Beale and his men camped on the land. It is thought that the city's name hails from Beale's Ponderosa Pine-made flagstaff that was used to display the American flag. In 1876, Thomas F. McMillan built the first cabin in Flagstaff, and the town's population began increasing thereafter.
